More control over editing space properties with changes in permissions.

We’ve adjusted how Mews grants access to employees when editing spaces, giving you more control.

Previously, employees with even the “Perform housekeeping” or “Change spaces to out of order” permissions could modify the properties of a space, such as its number, floor, or assigned category when they clicked on a room number in the Timeline or in the space status report.

This led to instances when housekeeping staff changed the room properties in Mews instead of assigning a guest another room, creating confusion.

Now, to create, modify or delete a space, and have access to the pencil icon in Mews to edit the space properties, ensure your employees have the “Manage property settings” permission added to their profile.

Note: Staff with "Perform Housekeeping" or “Change spaces to out of order” permissions will still be able to change the status of the space, but not the space properties.

You can learn more about managing permissions by reading our guide.
