📊 Improved segmentation reporting with change in segment assignment for new reservations.
We’ve updated the way Mews assigns segments when you create reservations in Mews Operations. This means improved consistency in segmentation reporting.
Previously, the system would automatically assign the service’s default segment over the rate’s segment, leading to an inconsistency between creating reservations via Mews Operations and the booking engine.
Now, when creating a reservation,
Prior to space selection: You can manually choose your preferred segment from the Segment field.
Post space selection: If you do not select any segment, then Mews automatically assigns either the rate’s segment, if available, or the service’s default segment.
This gives you more control over assigning segments and ensures accurate reporting for your revenue teams.
