Improved restrictions in Mews provide greater clarity and flexibility. 😃
We’ve incorporated your feedback, and improved how restrictions work in Mews. These improvements make sure restrictions are not modified, created, or deleted unintentionally by some actions in Mews Operations. Previously, it was difficult to view which restrictions were created, affected, or unaffected and caused unintentional opening of the property for business.
Now, you can see the following improvements:
No unplanned openings: Restrictions with exceptions do not override restrictions without exceptions, but Mews treats them as a separate restriction. This enables you to have both restrictions together to ensure there are no unplanned openings at your property(s).
- Restrictions with no exceptions take priority over restrictions with exceptions when you have both together. Mews also displays banners on the review screen for more information.
Clarity about unchanged restrictions: Mews now flags any restrictions unchanged by your actions with a banner on the review screen. This gives you full oversight of how your restrictions function. The banner informs you when the system detects unchanged restrictions.
Clarity about the outcome when you replace restrictions: We have now upgraded the “Replace all restrictions” checkbox to a dropdown with the same functionality. It contains more information on the outcome of each option. This helps you decide which option to select for your required outcome.
