Guests can now cancel reservations online!

Now your guests can cancel their reservation online through the guest portal. This means guests no longer need to call or email you, which saves time for everyone. Read more about this update below.

Previously, guests had to contact your property to cancel their reservation. Now they can log into the guest portal and use the “Cancel reservation” button to cancel their reservation if they need to, without having to call the property.

Note:

  • Guests can only cancel unpaid reservations that have not yet started—if you offer free cancellation.
  • You need to ensure your cancellation policies are up to date in Mews. Read this guide to learn how.
  • Only guests who have booked directly are eligible to self-cancel. Guests who have booked through a travel agency will need to contact their agent. 

If you have customized the Confirmation email template, you can now add a “Manage reservation” button or link to the email so guests can go straight to the page where they can cancel.
