🔁 Customize Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) for increased security!

We're pleased to release updated Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) settings for enhanced flexibility and security on the Mews platform. Previously you had to opt-in to enforce 2FA.

Now, 2FA is enabled by default on new properties, and property administrators can selectively enforce it. This helps meet the varied security needs of different roles such as front desk staff and reduces vulnerability to cyber-attacks or the use of stolen credentials.

Key benefits:

  • Enhanced Protection: New enterprises have 2FA enabled by default, improving security measures from the start.
  • User Exemptions: Administrators can now exempt specific users from 2FA, tailoring security needs to individual roles and responsibilities.
  • Increased Adoption: Broader implementation of 2FA across users ensures that access to Mews is guarded against unauthorized access, even if a password is compromised.

Administrators can easily adjust 2FA settings through the security settings panel, managing exemptions and enforcement as needed. You can learn more about how to configure your 2FA settings here.
