✏️ Choose whether employees can change a reservation’s rate price with a new permission.
We’ve added a new employee permission in Mews, Override rate price, that lets your employees modify a reservation’s rate price. This gives greater flexibility:
- When creating a new reservation.
- When managing an existing reservation, from the Pricing tab of the Reservations management screen.
Until now, any employee with the Create and manage reservation permission could adjust a reservation’s rate price. This sometimes led to discrepancies between prices stipulated by the reservation department and those offered by unauthorized changes, creating confusion and frustration.
Now, you can use the Override rate price permission in Mews Operations to prevent or allow employees from altering a reservation’s rate price.
This gives you more control over managing staff permissions and helps you avoid any unintentional changes.
Note:
- Mews enabled the Override rate price permission for every employee with the Create and manage reservation permission.
- Staff with only the Create and manage reservation permission can still update the rate price when changing the reservation’s space category.
